Lighting the Path Less Taken

Back when my older brother was murdered......the rest of us in the family had gone to the beach for the weekend......and I remember doing the "what if".....ie, "What if Dan had come with us?"

My mother, who I feel was extremely intuitive, said to me that she believed Dan was SUPPOSED to die at that point in his life. She felt that if he had come with us on vacation, he probably would have drowned in the ocean......or something else would have occurred.

This memory all came back to me when I read the following news story on FOX:

That question is one of the few things my husband and I disagree on. I feel that when our time comes we will go. Mom was in the heart hospital and when her heart stopped they could do nothing. Our son died in a totally freak accident,at 16. I think we have a pre-ordained time on this planet and we should do our best to live our lives where we don't have to (or need to) say I am sorry to anyone. That is a hard thing to do. If I go tomorrow I hope someone can say "She tried to help mankind" Thats all I want. Hubby can't stand the thought that he might "not" have control over what happens. Oh well

More and more I know I don't have control of my time nor the time my loved one's have. I just know I have to be the best person I can be. Most important to me is to be true to myself in the way I think, and live my life. Also, being true to my loved ones and friends.

I live each day hoping for tomorrow but if it doesn't come I'd like to say it was a good time. When my time comes it will be as it should when it it should..no fear. Lots of love to you.

I really believe that the new of the women who survived the plane crash and then to die in a car crash days later is a perfect example of showing the world that there is a plan.
I think her story touched the hearts of many and had us think more about our lives. It was pretty unbelievable.
Maybe her incredible story was given to us to teach us?
Life is always teaching me something.
