We're having quite the snow storm here in NY. I got up to make a tea and looked out at the feeder tree to see 6 cardinals and assorted other lovely feathereds. Quick as I could I grabbed the cam and snuck up on them from inside my window...got 3!
Beautiful! Oddly, I was taking pictures of the snow scenes thru windows yesterday too!
But you got cardinals. Cardinals were the favorite bird of a dear friend of mine who passed about 10 years ago. His Christmas cards always had cardinals on them. Whenever I see cardinals, I think of him. Thanks, Debs. I still miss him.
I'll maybe post the ones I took tomorrow or later. How odd --- but maybe not really -- that we were doing the same thing. Who knows...could have even been at the same time.

And girl cardinals and mourning doves and a nuthatch, I believe? The birds are just starting to be heard here in the morning. I always miss them over the winter. I love to hear them coming back -- Can spring be far behind?? Thanks, Debs.

Aw, Debs, thanks! There are n't any jays here over the winter. It seems you have species that we have (not too far away) but somehow it seems you have those that leave here during the winter. You're further north! Go figure. But thanks for the winged ones.
