I am preparing for Reiki II attunement.... and have some questions.
First if any are willing to share some of their experiences either here or privately I would appreciate it immensely
Secondly can I set an intent for something in myself that I want to heal? does this make sense?
I want to quit smoking for one.... but I also want to discover and come to a point of balance with an emotion. And I am beginning to feel strongly the two are directly linked.
After ReikiI I worked through fear and have become less fearful and more in tune with what causes fear that is useful and what is wasted energy..... I also began living here and now..... I did not expect either of these things to happen and I am grateful they did.
I will enter the Reiki II with no expectations and leave it to the universe to guide me.....
I am talking with my master who happily answers all my questions and more but I also get wonderful insights when everyone here shares their experiences, some of us seem to have very similar experiences and crossing paths.

You can direct anything anywhere
Take care though
The target may be a symptom
And not a route course
Think of a problem as a link in a chain
The pain maybe a final link in the chain
And not the first
So removing the last link
Just exposes the next link
Any problem that we have
Is not always the blood on the floor?
Or the cut that cause the leakage
Or the knife that slipped
Or the stumble
Or the head ache the distracted you
I think you get the message
Good luck herding cats
Your journey starts with a single thought

Great analogy Hermie.
It is like links on a chain.... and smoking seems to be the last link so now to climb backwards and mend ..... seems it is going to be a real challenge....but I like challenges

Very nice analogy Hermie.

Yes you can set intent for things to come, I do it often.
To quit smoking I suggest you begin cutting down now like Hermie's chain, one link at a time.
Reiki can help with the point of balance BUT it does not make life smooth sailing. I wish. It does provide a center from which to grow and explore who we are, who we wish to be and who we can be.
I had one come to me, she demanded a master's attunement...said she had to have it. When asked why, she said it would finally cut out the shit in life and settle things once and for all. Ah bless, NO it would not, will not, cannot I said. Now she sees and we begin again softly gently soon I hope.
Reiki cannot make life perfect, but it sure can make it better.
Reiki does tend to plant most folks in the now with the tease of things to come.
I do like your last thot...it is the true way to learn and explore.

Like water over stone
Slowly shaping the stone
By changing its course
Just enough to undermine
Just enough to glide over and around
Without causing excessive turbulence
However, still rubbing down the stone slowly
So very smoothly, gently and without a fight
