Crow Medicine-Divine Law
Feed your strengths and you will flourish
Support your weaknesses and you will languish
While your shadow flourishes and becomes strong.
Would be a shadow of yourself?

Possessing Time
Humankind can only possess time
by being fully aware
of the actual moment we are experiencing.
In that moment,
we all stand in the sacred human presence
dedicating ourselves
to the continuation of sharing
and creating the sacredness
of our combined human potential.
WE welcome and become
the Eternal Now.

Creating a Safe Space
Some people have a talent
For creating Sacred Space,
Where others feel the comfort,
Natural safety they embrace,
Welcomed by the openness,
Where no judgements reside,
The implicit trust of feeling
In a heart that's opened wide.
This rare living treasure
Is a confidant and friend,
Whose honor is impeccable,
On whose word we can depend.
This person is a Wisdom Keeper
Who defends every Sacred Space,
Through loyalty and acceptance
The remembered gifts of grace.

Inner Conflict
Nothing in our universe can exist without it's opposite being present.
To judge any opposing force, contrary or reverse, is to give way to inner conflict.
Within the rounds of inner conflict, the self's potential for wholeness is sacrificed...
The heart core of serenity being cut from the whole.

Wounded Spirits
Oh you of wounded spirits
I offer you a place of rest;
Walk among my mountains
And climb to Eagle's nest.
Come swim my oceans
Or feel my desert's fire.
Sir beside running waters
To reclaim your heart's desire.
Seek my silent forests,
Or walk my open plains,
Travel the deepest jungles
'Til you hear my love's refrain.
I am always waiting
To allow each child to heal,
To cradle the wounded spirits
And teach them how to feel.
I am the Earth Mother
Who loves without regret
Tending all my children
Who though their tears
have paid all debt.

Sorry to have not kept up on this...taking Shain off, fussing about it before, then the mare yesterday and again today, I sigh..BUT here you are:

(mind my dear ones..the HE can be the SHE...this one touched my heart)
Desperate Choices
Panic-striken, out of breath
He cried out in the night.
What can I do, who can I trust,
To understand my plight?
Faced with my weakness,
Confronted with my shame,
There's no sense in excuses.
There's no one else to blame!
I've lost my faith in myself,
I've given away my youth.
Is it too late to change?
I need to know the truth!
Desperate choices filled the dark,
Doubt haunted the way,
Demons of fear stood ready
To count this soul as their prey.
One human being defiantly refused his tomb.
Ancient ancestors stood along side,
Although he could not see,
Their silent forms pointed the way,
Great Mystery heard his plea.
Gentle arms reached out to him,
Allowing wracking sobs to subside,
Words of comfort opened his heart,
Healing the hopeless image inside.
The night passed, many years ago,
And his will to live remains.
That man stands tall, for us all to see,
With his warrior spirit reclaimed.

Each and every day I pull out this book, "Earth Medicine" by Jamie Sams, and let it fall to a page with the intent for it to show me, teach me...and all who read them I hope.
Murmurs in the Breeze
When I walk the meadows
Searching for the rainbow's end
The colors in the distance
Bring voices on the wind.
And there amid the flowers
I listen without a sigh
The Spirits of the Ancients
Echo their heart's reply.
Sacred murmurs on the breeze
What would you say to me
If I became a rainbow
Or the standing tree?
Would you ask me to listen
Or add my voice to yours?
Becoming a Guardian Spirit
Of these ancient woods.

Eternal Flaws
The Universe is flawless
Evolving at it's own harmonius rhythm
With raw creative force
Guiding it's every move.
The only eternal flaws in this universe seem to be found in the way human beings insist on seeing Creation through the eyes of limitation. Maybe that is one reason "faith" came into being.
If we can't see the overview for ourselves, noticing that the "whole" is flawless, we "need faith" to take us beyond our limitations.
Even that human frailty has a perfect place in the Divine Plan. Perhaps Great Mystery's intent was to confound the human mind so we could learn to trust...instead of trying to reason and figure it out!
After all, everything and every force in our universe is basically balanced and neutral. It is the human species that judges every feeling, event, experience, or thought as being "good or bad".
Maybe through faith and trust we can stop labeling and begin to look at life as just "BEING".

Testing the Truth
Irreverence is the one way that the Divine Trickster,
Who lives inside all of us,
Can test the truths of any philosophy,
Religion, or body of knowledge.
The Trickster is known as Coyote. He teaches that the lack of laughter or the ability to have good clean fun is a red flag of warning that something is amiss. We can test our truths by being irreverent...when the time is right...cut loose, play, be crazy. If those spouting truths can't smile they don't know truth, so run like hell.
The People have no real concept of Hell, but if there was a place with no laughter and no time for irreverence...that would be it. Remember to smile even, especially, thru the hard times.

The Child and Grandmother Moon
Grandmother,
Teach me how to touch the stars,
To give the sky a smile,
To wait for the rainbows after the storm.
And I will share with you
The laughter in my eyes,
The warmness in my heart,
And the innocence of my greatest joy--
Knowing I am watched over by you.

There now, a few days off has filled me up again and made me feel wonderful, so we begin again.
Trusted Friend
You touched my heart
and it sang...
of a song long forgotten.
You spoke to me of dreams
and I allowed you to know
a part of me that was painfully shy.
You opened a window to my soul
allowing me to be myself
and the wind came to cleanse
my fear of intimacy
with the fragrance of cedar.
Your walking stick left tracks across
the trails I follow in my dreams
And now...
I am reaching beyond that memory
into the distant future,
Wondering when...
the leaves will change
and when you will return...
Oh how I liked this one

Creation's Cycles
Desire to set the stage for
The decision to create,
Setting the will in motion,
Using our passionate traits
To weave our webs artfully,
To draw upon our dreams,
To make it all tangible,
And lace it with esteem.
When viewing our creations,
We may then choose to change
The perspective or alignment,
Adjusting the depth or range.
When the web of our creation
Breathes our dreams alive,
We can see how our passion
Allows our visions to survive.
Therein lies the secret
Of human creation at it's best,
A dream containing passion
Will endure...
then manifest.[i]
OH I love this one!
