I did think 'wow! the energy there must be there!'
Then I thought, 'no, those stones would be traumatised':(

Traumatized?

Yes Traumatized
Some people believe that to cut and shape crystal's hurts them
To grind them to dust, mix them with resin and mould them hurts them
For some people do truely believe that crystals and not just unfeeling lumps of rock that heal us
Some people believe that its a two way street, and that's why we cleanse them
We heal them by cleansing them
We hurt them with our metal knives
I treat them the best that I can
I cannot change the way people are when they mine crystals
But I can save what I can afford

Aye yes, I see, yes. I love our stone friends and do mourn the way they must be tumbled and polished and cut but in the end they are so beloved and treasured and I always apologize to the stones I get it before anything when they arrive here, then cleanse them and charge them so they can come alive once more.

Does make you wonder when you see so much.
like we used to think it was ok to kill elephants for their tusks.
still i like the idea that im saving them but if i didnt buy them then they wouldnt mine them...

I never thought there would be a factory like that. A crystal factory.
It made me feel ill to be honest.
I too love crystals, I do not use them like you Sage, it hasn't clicked with me as yet, it will do though.
I didn't realise what they went through for us.
Makes me feel humble.
I shall treat mine with extra respect now.
Another thought.
What will happen when there are no more to be mined?
What happens to the gap left by them in the earth.
What can fill it?
Are they needed there?

There are already a number of "NEW" man made crystals showing up within the system
Some crystals can now be made in a lab
Its a very profitable methos of farming them

Maybe this is why I am instinctively drawn to them in their raw or rough state. Dunno. I just always preferred that, altho I do have a few pieces in a polished state. Especially my ametrine -- it's soooooooo beautiful, and wouldn't be possible as it is without polishing.
