We all get involved in holistic for our own reasons
Some have pursued it and some have fallen over it
But most of us when we have become hooked
Want to leave the rat race and pursue an holistic life style
Open a retreat or a healing center

Only when we look into it do we find the difficulties involved

Finding somewhere suitable
Finding someone prepared to lead the money (banks or other)
Fighting the planners and the red tape

Then when you get it up and running
Keeping it all running
Finding the people to use your place on a regular basis
Open a cafe to provide for the customers that come
Maybe look into opening a little holistic and or crystal shop on site
All to support your dream, your new life style

Even when you do it in a city with a large population
With plenty of resident holistic’s to rent room to
And a large tourist population that you have to try to get in to your centre
Your problems are only just starting
Because starting up is only the start
Keeping it all running and improving all takes a regular income

We all wish to do this
And this is what it could all look like
But remember
All this takes commitment
Not only in time and thought

Ah Hermie..these words speak right to me deep.

It will be a year this October I have had my wee shop. remember my delight and the adventurous lady who began? Aye, she is still well happy with her shop but the "wee" of it is a bother now, bigger would be nice, more space, as said a place to sit and have a bit of tea whilst we talk, a work area that needs not be put away every day, and so on..why is it we can't be content with what we begin? does it need to be more or just enough?

Lord knows they aren't coming in droves..I am still not quite understood, but almost accepted. Most of my income comes from the internet...Reiki, custom jewelry, and so on. Sure if I loaned I could get bigger but then bigger are the expenses and difficulties..I think so. So, I put it out to the Universe and if it pleases them..maybe it will be, otherwise I will be content. I pay the bills with it, I can restock as needed, I feel like I make a difference..that should be enough.

I have sometimes wanted a shop but as I have grown and changed I realize I want something stable that I enjoy that will allow me to afford what I want outside my work. I have owned my own businesses several times and I no longer want my work to be my entire life I want it to be one part of my life.......if this makes sense....

I will soon be pursuing this exact thing, and what you say speaks also to me. My card of the day is the 4 of wands. A clear indications of how much I have worked toward having my own "shop" and also that the journey is just beginning. I am looking forward to the challenges this new life will bring. Still scared mind you, but also excited and looking forward to it!
