Unexpected ....For about a week, the date of Nov. 19 has been coming to my mind. When this happens, something significant usually happens on the date seen. Whatever happens then can be bad or good, no way of predicting.
On Tuesday, I woke with an unexplained want/need/desire to get a smokey quartz. I even almost contacted Sage to see what she has. I wanted it quick too, even tho I had no rationale for the want or the timing.
On Wednesday, Nov. 19, I went to work. By mid-morning, something happened there that hasn't happened in the 10 years I've been there. A co-worker was spreading out on a bath towel a huge amount of vintage jewelry that her mother left her. She wasn't really looking to sell it, but had brought it for another woman to see. I immediately went to look, altho I'm not really a "jewelry" person, I am a crystal person.
IMMEDIATELY, something called me. I picked up & had to have this STUNNING smokey quartz brooch. The setting is very medieval & perfect for me. The quartz is flawless & owned me immeidately. I didn't really have the money she would accept for it, especially in light of the fact I won't have a job very soon.
I know, tho, that if I didn't get it, it would be one of these things that would haunt me years from now -- wishing I had bought it. I did!!! I even feel good about. Almost wrecked the car driving home as I raised the brooch into the sunlight & looked.
Here it is, but the setting is too fine for my camera too pick up, so it's a little blurry. I find myself just picking it up & holding it. And staring at it. Gees, I'm taken.........................

Thanks for the backup on this. Sometimes I think I'm just nuts, but sometimes, I just have to have something. I don't treat myself very much at all, but maybe this is an early christmas present to me!!
Really, thanks for making me feel better about buying it. Not that I felt "bad," but just maybe empty-headed or irresponsible because of looming unemployment. Sometimes I hate the phrase "being responsible!" == TT
