To relax and clear...If you feel melancholy, try to relax in the Child’s Pose, which can help you feel the security and support of Mother Earth.
Get into a kneeling position, and then sit back on your heels.
Breathe in deep to your tantien thru your nose, lengthen your spine.
Exhale thru soft lips, fold over forward, and bring your hands back toward your heels.
You might find that this helps you release your feelings and gives you greater energy.

I sit and rock back and forth holding a pillow tightly to my solar plexus and tummy.

YES! I lay on my side with either my puffy quilt of a pillow and do something like that too!
Oh....and my "Reiki kitty" curls up in that area a lot. I find myself rolling up against him during the night.

Sage that is one of my favorite asana's it also stretches the back muscles, the glutes, and the front of your feet and shins....
I like to do the camel, the cat, downward dog and childs pose when I am feeling tense and stressed.....I really hope we get a yoga instructor at the gym, I want to take some classes again, I worry about doing some of the asanas wrong and hurting myself
