Yesterday I noticed a book sitting on top of the bookshelf next to my computer. I picked it up and wondered why it had suddenly appeared there. It had been living in a bookshelf in the bedroom ever since I'd finished reading it months ago........

The book is entitled "Into the Mystic" by Dennis P. McMahon. I've known the author for several years through a chat forum, but this is a first book for him that was just recently published.

This morning I popped into My Space and received two private messages. One from a friend who told me she was recommending me to a young man with a "problem". The second message was from the young man, Jay. He told me he needed my advice. For two nights now he's tried to go to sleep and feels an "evil entity or spirit" coming and basically haunting him. He said he hadn't been able to sleep in 24 hours!

Since I've had a similar experience once, I shared with him what I did. And then I remembered Dennis' book! He also had advice for the same thing! So I was able to give him that too.........Wasn't it handy that the book was sitting right next to the computer????

For me it's a wonderful example of the sayings: "No such thing as a coincidence" ........and "Everything happens for a reason."......... Wouldn't you say?

Hoping to hear back from the young man, Jay, to find out that he's finally gotten some sleep!

any chance of you sharing that info, my neice has been having trouble too says this blackness comes right into her face at night she hadnt slept in her bedroom for weeks when my sis went round and cleansed the flat.

the blackness now stays away from her face but is still in the room watching her.

Jay,

I am aware of the terms incubus and succubus. Personally, I don't believe in the legend of them. But I do believe that there are evil entities that can play with our fears. I have experienced one. You obviously must be very shook up, as I was at the time.

You have to realize that we have amazing power and control, even over Spirit. These entities grab hold of us, or try to, hoping that our ignorance and our fears will let them get away with things.

Here is what I did.....and it worked: When it happened to me it was in the middle of the night. I grabbed hold of the cross around my neck (I am a Christian) and said to "it" -- "In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, BE GONE". I said that three times, and at the end, I added "And never come back!"

It never has come back. Since then I have learned about visualizing with God's White Light. And have used that as protection as well, whenever I've sensed anything negative around me or my family. All I do is close my eyes and visualize White Light like a bubble around who ever or what ever I want protected. You can use words with it, such as: "You are not of God and you are not of me. LEAVE and never come back!"

Recently, a friend of mine on another forum, shared a similar experience.....getting rid of a negative energy. His name is Dennis and he's a Jewish Attorney. :o) This is what gave him power: " The Light of God surrounds me. The Love of God enfolds me. The power of God protects me. The presence of God watches over me. Wherever I am, God is. And all is well."

I do hope some of this gives you some assistance and peace. Please remember......YOU HAVE CONTROL. YOU HAVE POWER. You do not have to "allow" whatever it is that is "haunting" you to continue.

Ah Boo, you are so good with this! When will you know if he slept? One needs to find that power within and without that faith, hope and trust inside them that is their light and this illuminates them so that any dark entity cannot stand such light and will leave. Great words Boo! I love how you've grown!

Boo --- Right words! When I've had a "blackness" experience, I mentally & verbally said "I am a child of God!! Be gone away from here." And yes, the bubble of security is necessary too. And amber is good too for protection.

It seems evil is sometimes just visiting to see where your heart/soul lies. If you can be intimidated, they feed on it. Claiming your allegiance seems to set them straight.

And it doesn't matter what "god" form you believe in. It just has to be a goodness that comes from deep within & without.

I'm glad you're trying to help Jay. He seems in a a space that gives rise to total helplessness & an anchor is needed to stop the current. If you are comfortable with telling us, please let us know how he's doing. Also, can we help at all?

Note to Sage: I hadn't read your post until after I posted mine. Um, the "within and without" is a surprise! Must be true, then!
