the Five Principles of ReikiJust for today....do not angerJust for today...do not worry Just for today...be thankful Just for today...work from your heart and soul Just for today...be kind to others I am learning the Japanese way to say these with Gassho for the Reiki and the Reiju. I would like to share the words aloud with you to hear..it is most wondrous. (Course I cannot speak them as quickly as he) Gassho means "two hands coming together" in front of the heart. Simply sit relaxed, join your hands together and concentrate on the point that your two middle fingers join at the tip. A comfortable chair is as fine, as is the lotus or 1/2 lotus position. I use a chair. Keeping your back straight, breathe deeply in from your belly, your Dantien (located about 3 fingers below your navel) and exhale slowly thru your lips, join your hands and raise up then down to your heart and speak the principles. English or Japanese matters not, the intent is paramount. This mediation is very cleansing and centering for the Reiki person or any person. This is a good way to ready for the Monday Reiju if you wish it. If you are a Reiki practitioner it is also a good way to center before beginning a session of healing.
