Stone of the week: AventurineAVENTURINE defuses negative situations and turns them around. It is very useful in Feng Shui as it grids against geopathic stress in your home or garden. Reinforcing your thought and leadership qualities, it allows you to see both sides of a situation and helps you find the answers. It calms anger and irritation with others.
“Physically” Aventurine relieves (migraine) headaches as an anti inflammatory and heals skin eruptions and allergy/sinus symptoms. Aventurine benefits the nervous system, the thymus gland, balances blood pressure and lowers cholesterol, it soothes the eyes, and heals the adrenals, lungs, sinuses, heart, muscular and urogenital systems too! Use as an elixir on the skin and to drink for sinus and allergy troubles.
Aventurine has been used as a lucky talisman and is a popular stone for gamblers.
Legends say that it is an all-purpose healer, used to reduce stress, develop confidence, imagination and improve prosperity. A legend from ancient Tibet says that aventurine was used to improve nearsightedness and to increase the wearer's creativity.
Aventurine is said to increase confidence, and gratitude, promotes emotional tranquility and positive attitudes. Aventurine is a wonderful stone to use daily, especially during meditation and prayer.
Many believe that aventurine has the capacity to calm a troubled spirit and bring about inner peace.
Aventurine comes in a lovely assortment of colors...yellow, green, orange, blue, pink, red, white...one of those "rainbow of color" stones that does a bit bit of everything.
Aventurine
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
is used for a number of applications, including landscape stone, building stone, aquaria, monuments, and jewelry. Aventurine is a form of quartz, characterised by its translucency and the presence of platy mineral inclusions that give a shimmering or glistening effect termed aventurescence. (it sparkles folks!)
The most common colour of aventurine is green, but it may also be orange, brown, yellow, blue, or gray. Chrome-bearing fuchsite (a variety of muscovite mica) is the classic inclusion, and gives a silvery green or blue sheen. Oranges and browns are attributed to hematite or goethite.
The name aventurine derives from the Italian "a ventura" meaning "to cometh".
The majority of green and blue-green aventurine originates in India (particularly in the vicinity of Mysore and Madras) where it is employed by prolific artisans. Creamy white, gray and orange material is found in Chile, Spain and Russia.

One would take pure water, not treated by a city, and place it in a glass container, then add the stone(s) and set on a window ledge or table in full sun for a whole day. Then refridgerate for up to 7 days, add a shot glass to your beverages to feel wondrous good! OR drink straight.
