Stone of the week: Amethyst (betcha thought I forgot!)Well I "wanted" to do Moss agate but the copy & paste insisted on Amethyst. I never argue with signs and guides...seems this one is good for me right now.... 
AMETHYST (in many colors of purple, dark to light) is an extremely powerful and protective stone. A natural tranquilizer, Amethyst blocks geopathic stress and negative environmental energies. Wonderful to use for meditation as it enhances your mental and spiritual awareness.
Traditionally it was worn to prevent drunkenness and does have a sobering effect. It can calm or stimulate your mind depending on the need. It helps with decision making use of common sense and insight then helps put those decisions into practice.
Amethyst enhances memory and improves motivation. It balances out life's highs and lows, promoting emotional centering, relieving physical, emotional and psychological stress or pain.
