Sleep Paralysis and OBE?

I had a dream last night where I was trying to wake up, but couldn't.  The difference in this dream is that I was dreaming I couldn't wake up in my dream.  I had the pressure pushing down hard on me and I was extremely frustrated.

Then, I was at a place where they put dogs to sleep, I know very sad place, but I saw my little dog I had put down over 20 years ago.  I picked him up and held him and talked to him.  He licked me and was so happy to see me.  This felt so real.

I was shouting to my friend as she was trying to wake me but my mouth did not move only my mind.  I finally woke up, in my dream not in reality, and asked her what was wrong.   She said there had been a fire and her brother was dead.

I never did wake from this dream.  In fact I slept till 10:30am. :)

I do believe I had an OBE and saw some things.  When I returned to my body is when I had the sleep paralysis.

Wow, having never experienced this I just don't know.  How about cross posting over on NLH?

Have you checked with your friend?  Is your friend's brother already passed or could this be a foretelling type thing????

Not knowing the details, my take would be that you had an OBE to visit your little dog.  (Your little dog must be "working" as a Spirit Escort over the Rainbow Bridge.)  But the situation with your friend overlapped and dragged you back into your body.  I feel that being Out of Body, you somehow connected to your friend's subconscious.

Sounds like things were very active for more than one of us last night!
