My GrandparentsWhen my Nan passed away in 1992 the look and feel of the Spirit World she entered was vastly different to the look and feel of the place of that of my Grandad who passed just before Christmas last year.
When my Nan died I had missed the time of her death by 10 minutes and I was very angry and bitter about that. I cried out in despair one night “Why didn’t you let me say Goodbye?! All I wanted was to say Goodbye!!”
That night I had a ‘dream’ where I was standing at the edge of a beautiful place. There was lush grass with a stream of crystal clear water, there were baby animals frolicking about as well as children playing.
The feel of the place was of pure peace and harmony and it was a beautiful day, even though I wouldn’t say it was “sunny” it was just light and a very pleasant temperature.
I was standing behind my Nan who was sat in a wheelchair. She got up out of the chair and turned to face me. She said “You can’t come with me. THIS is where we say Goodbye.” And with that she turned and walked away to play with the children and tell them funny stories.
I then got a feeling of being pulled down as the image of this wonderful place faded and before I knew it, I was opening my eyes to find myself in bed.
This is totally different to the place I went to after the death of my Grandad last December. A couple of weeks after his death I was standing outside a large building with my Guide. My Guide told me “Just go in. Ask him if he’s OK and come out again. Don’t tell him who you are, or who he is.”
I went through a door and walked down a corridor. I saw my Grandad walking towards me, but he wasn’t the slow crippled man riddled with Cancer that he had been before he died. He still looked elderly but he walked unaided and had a real spring in his step. He looked really healthy and well and had a vibrant sparkle in his eyes.
The building looked very much like a palacial care home. On my left was a huge dining room with tables and chairs with people sat down either eating or chatting to each other. On my right was what looked like a school assembly hall and there were people mingling about in there involved in some sort of activity.
The place had that same comfortable and ambient temperature and the light streaming in through the windows (which didn’t appear to have glass in them) was a strong white light although it didn’t hurt your eyes to look at it.
I went up to my Grandad and said “Oh hello! How are you?” He looked back at me and smiled before replying “Hello. I’m fine thank you. I’ve not felt this good in ages!” I then asked him “Do you like it here?” and he answered “Yes it’s lovely, and the food’s a lot better than at that other place!”
I could see it in his eyes that he didn’t have a clue who I was and nor did he fully comprehend WHERE he was, he just knew that he liked it.
I turned and left at that point and as I walked past the “dining room” some of the people in there gave me strange “What’s she doing here?” type glances but no-one else spoke to me.
I got outside and my Guide was waiting for me, he asked “Did you speak to him?” when I said “Yes thank you.” He then asked “Did you tell him who you were?” I replied that I hadn’t, he then said “Did you tell him who he was? Did you call him Grandad?” and again I told him that I hadn’t. My Guide responded “Good. Come on, let’s go.”
Again I had that feeling of being pulled down before waking up and finding myself back in my bed.
Just wanted to share.

Sara,
In both cases, I believe you had a glimpse of the Other Side, but at different locations.
I was once told by a dear friend (in Spirit) that there are different Planes, which may explain things some. He also reassured me that loved ones could visit each other on those different Planes.
All I know is that when I've had glimpses like you have had, my family is always very happy. And that's what is most important.
