My dad

I've had a hard week.  Haven't felt very festive....I was so tired last nite.

My dad died 12/15/03.  I miss him especially this time of year cuz it was his favorite.  When we were little he'd be the first to wake up (if he ever really went back to sleep after getting 6 kids presents ready) and shout, "Santie Clause has been here! HO HO HO!" to which 6 sleepy kids would tear into the front room and it would take all morning to open presents as we would sit in a circle and open them one at a time so all could see and we could say thank you.  I do this still today.

Anyways...last nite I lay abed...relaxing, music in my ears, stones in my hands, Reiki flowing when I smelled him...Capt Black tobacco..and felt a heavy hand on my head...next thing I know I'm up before dawn and awake.  I miss my daddy but I do love it when he visits me.

Wow Debs--what a wonderful thing!  I was hoping for and half expecting a visit from my grandfather or cousin last week.  My cousin passed on Dec 12th...which was also our grandfather's birthday.  Those things really sticj with us.  Smells are a way I often get little messages too...and I much prefer that over getting woken up by pokes in the arm! hehe

Anyway, I am glad you were able to get a sweet visit.

Take care!!

Hi Debs,

This time of year can be so hard missing those who have gone on before us.  I love that your dad still lets you know of his presence.  It has been 39 years since my dad's passing and I still feel his guidance from time to time.  Especially when I do any kind of construction work, I ask for him to guide my hands.  When I don't, things don't turn out as well as when I do.

Hope you have a very Merry Christmas!

What a beautiful memory and a wonderful VISIT you had.......He's still around you, isn't he.

This time of year is always a bit rough when remembering the ones that have physically passed.  Maybe this is why family traditions are so important.

Hugs, Debs.
