History from 2003 Reiki sessionsWhen I used to have Reiki treatments
This is the account of my first Reiki sessions
I draw no conclusions
But if you have Reiki
Don't for a minute believe you just lay there

Reiki
Session 1. (15:30 to 16:30)
As soon as the top of my head was touched, heat travelled from my feet to my head (like a hot electric blanket being pulled up over me)
Blue clouds
Yellow clouds
Blue & Yellow clouds
A line of fair ground horses running towards me (going up and down)
All things were seen when I was on my back (nothing when I was on my face)
Session 2. (10:00 to 11:00)
Blue clouds
Yellow clouds
Blue & Yellow clouds
Yellow eyes in the clouds going into irises
My back in not as stiff, but the pain is radiating further
I could not hold my attention, my mind kept drifting
All things were seen when I was on my back (nothing when I was on my face)
(Maybe night shift is not the best for this type of treatment)
Session 3. (16:00 to 17:00)
Swirling clouds of all colours (White, Yellow, Light Blue, and Dark Blue, Green, Indigo and loads in-between
A big gothic church (the top kept disappearing into the mist)
I was chasing stars through space (never catching them)
Yellow starbursts
White rooms (all white) Bedroom, Living room and patio
A floor covered in brightly painted stones
All things were seen when I was on my back (nothing when I was on my face)
My body felt a lot bigger than it should
Session 4. (15:45 to 16:45)
Yellow star bursts some stationary some moving, all sorts of colours
A lot of churches (again) I walked up to some, I flew over others
I walked down long passages that were old brick built with other people
One Yellow starburst went from Yellow to White then dissolved back to Yellow
I went into the countryside and to towns; I went to all sorts of places
I still do not see anything while on my face (but it is not for the lack of trying)
I am very confused since the last Seichem with Sarah; I am missing important dates, times and even at work I cannot think clearly, strange for someone who feels so organised
Session 5 (15:30 to 1615)
While Lynn was working on my head, I saw Purple to Black and all colours in-between, swirling clouds of multi colours, while Lynn was under my chin every thing went White from my head and went down all over, this then went away and then the same happened again but with it starting White but then changed to Gold then covered me, after it covered me it changed back to White.
Then we got to my chest, I went to a dark scene (Black & White) in to the treatment room when it was a cellar, with a group of men sat on wooden benches drinking beer from glasses with large dimples,
Then it all faded away.
I did not see anything else till I was on my face, when I first turned over I saw stars flitting all over the place, while Lynn was working on my head, then nothing.
The surprise of the session was when Lynn was working on my feet and before she wafted the air above me, my whole body shuddered sideways a couple of times, strange stuff this Reiki
I’ve not slept well since this rieki
I hope that I’ve found where I’m going wrong when I’m having rieki
I do not see a lot now, even in the colours
I am looking through me eyes and straining to see what’s next, wrong its not the eyes that you look through It’s the mind

Wow!
I have never had a hands on treatment.
Oops, yes I have. Once. I wasn't relaxed though.
Twas my RM, before she was my RM, she was practising on me.

I feel that if you are relaxed enough to have a Reiki treatment
Why not use it for a meditation?
And I have done this from my early days
Now one needs to ask
Just where did this idea come from?
Because, before I got into Reiki
I had never meditated in my life
The mind is a powerful tool
Its best not to restrict it too much

Oh I do when I treat myself, if I not fall asleep!
I usually see angels, Jesus and Mary, sometimes all at once, other times seperately.
Be nice to have someone treat me though.
Do you remember Archangel from NLH?
She lives not too far from me. We used to meet up.
I would reiki her and she would crystal heal me.
Now that is really something!!!
I love a crystal healing!!
I saw her as a child, in her back garden, complete with rabbit hutch, when she treated me.

And I advised my Reiki Master to give me my Mastership in October
Because she would be having her son in November
That shook her
Her and her husband had only been talking about trying for another child, before she came to work
I was far more careful after that

Haha I know those feelings and pictures well Hermit, difficult at times, it is, not to say anything.
I am most honored you shared your writings with us.
In last weeks Reiki session with a new client..her after talk was so much as you described! Colors and clouds and heat, I never turn folks over, it breaks the mood and focus, Reiki "is" and will go where needed. She was surprised I began with her feet but liked it greatly and felt much more grounded when we finished..but she saw colors as I worked each chakra, pale to intense....it was new this feedback...
When I have been worked I always see color and feel textures and scent but never pictures. I find it facinating you did.

I have felt this shudder, it is almost a body awakening? or maybe more the inner being being turned on? How did it go as went along? I am facinated? Did you find the sleep? And I know you found what your heart looked for...the eyes would not have seen it for you...I love the last line...it is the mind that sees.
And Nigel, I believe...it is never a "just lay there" one flies and feels.

I seemed to jump in stages to about a whole body width sideways
It was quite strange, but I just let it happen and talked about it later
As for sleep
It was the start of about nine months of very poor sleeps
Remembering that I work shifts ~0700~1500, 2300~0700, 1500~2300, and back again
I work with very agressive machines that require a lot of hands on work (they bite)
All computer controlled, requiring a very allert mind that can thing laterally
Poor sleeps are not good for me
I slipped back into my usual sleep pattern ( not what you would call normal)
And carried on as usual
