Here we go againI had a feeling something was wrong the minute I opened my eyes this morning and I usually don't do a visual check on the horses so early but something sent me down in the dark to check on Daisy. There she was limping up to me but nickering for a much too early breakfast. Same dang abscess in the same spot. Must have healed over too quickly and trapped some gunk. She has been sound for weeks but I just had her shoes pulled and I think they were keeping it masked.
Been up since 4:00 am soaking, buting and running around to the feed stores for icthamol, bandages, epsom salt and to the vet for antibiotics, resoaking and stuffing antibiotics down her. We are going to get rid of this stupid thing once and for all. Her muscles are starting to cramp up again from favoring that leg and I sure don't want her to go through another tying up episode.
I need a nap, it's too early for a beer, lol.

Damn...    . Alright I'm back to work, but sending slower this time.....poor lovely, poor you. Help on the way.

Well I soaked her 3 times today and it opened up a bit. She is much more comfortable now. She is all bandaged with a plaster of icthamol on the opening so that should draw it out. Heading out in a few minutes to give her the second dose of antibiotics and then I can go to bed. Eighteen hour days like this sure poop me out mentally but physicially it will be tough to go to sleep, still wound up from the day and never did get my nap.
Thanks Sage, Daisy and I sure appreciate your great energy to help her feel better and get well.

Catch your nap today Shirley. I've got her, my trusty horse surrogate is with me. She feels better today and feels badly you're so very tired. We'll take out time healing it from the inside this time. Her boyfriend is worried.
