Help an old womanI just bought a gorgeous 9x14mm perfectly cut emerald shaped smoky quartz. I know I know I don't NEED it but oh it called me and my birthday is coming up.... Now..I need the thing the setting you know the thing what is it called that one sets a faceted stone in????? |

Not sure what you mean........A setting is what you put a finished/faceted stone into.......

OMG, Sage..........That needs to be by herself! A singe pendant. (IMO) Maybe just a small stone on either side, but I bet she'll be better without. |

Oh she is beautiful.  Truly special Pendant setting or ring setting is all I know to call it either. Call a jewelry store and ask. Tell them you just got it and want to know what a setting for it would be called. Could even ask if they have any (you don't have to go look if you don't want to)It will need an open backed setting to show it off. its beautiful, oh I said that. Love Cheryl

I know I've done stone of the week but here is more info about the smoky quartz. I need one real bad of late, I have a 3" crystal ball of smoky and it keeps drawing me to hold and roll it in my hands.
