Death is highly overrated..............or as Larry said this evening......."This is getting old"........
I like feeding our two birds (Ducky is a small parrot - a conure. Angel is a cockatiel.).......bits of meat, fruit, and vegies while cooking.
Tonight I went to give them a tidbit of steak while slicing some for our dinner and found Angel dead in her cage.
According to what Larry read on line about cockatiels.... she probably died of old age. They usually live to between 7 to 9 years. She was 12.
Knowing that still doesn't help, though.
This was the third within one week........Yes, Sage. I noticed.

Sorry that you lost your old bird
It happens
And it's one of the few things
That we all have in common
Men tend to have a strange attitude to death
However, we still feel things
Maybe we do not show things like women would like
Look after yourself BooBoo
Nothing is as bad as it first seens

Larry just came home a little while ago from doing farm errands in Redmond......
We now have "Ruby", a little gray 3 year old cockatiel.......She's very sweet.
She tells me she lived with a young woman who loved her very much. She has not experienced anything bad, so she is very trusting. From the impressions I've received the young woman has gone on in her life to a place where she can't have a bird.........
"Ducky", our conure, is already jealous.......sigh.....
