ChakrasI was wondering whoon this board works with chakras and what methods you use.
I use a pendulum to check and clear. Sometimes I have used reiki symbols over blocks and clogs, and even some psychic surgery.

Senior Moments ;) I always forgot about Cd's, they are great. I also forgot how just Reiki helps the chakras as well as yoga, Chi gong, and other movement/excercies which move chi in body.
Deb, I would just love to learn how to use the crystal. One of my reiki students had this great set of flat stones...

ClearingI just look at them to see if they are spinning correctly and are the right shape. If not then I use Reiki to fix them.

I do a wonderful chakra meditiation with my group which they all love and leads to a very deep meditative state.
Get your self into a relaxed state by relaxing each part of your body - working from the top of your head down to your toes.
THEN
1. Visualise your crown chakra spinning - doesn't matter which way - just see it spin.
2. Visualise your base chakra spinning - keep this spinning together with your crown chakra.
3. When you are happy that you can keep these spinning - its very much like the juggler who keeps his plates spinning on sticks!)
4. Now visualise your third eye spinning
5. Your throat chakra
6 Your heart
7 Your solar plexus
8 your belly chakra.
You should now have all your chakras spinning - and if you feel really clever, you can imagine the twin chakras on your back. Hold this visualisation as long as you want.
When you are ready to come out, just imaging the spinning slowing down - not stopped. You chakras will all be balanced and you could have had some great visualisations. You can incorporate colours if you want.
Just play ariound and enjoy! 
You will need to ensure you're thouroughly grounded afterwards as it can make you a bit dizzy if not. xxxxxxxxxxx

I draw in Light thru my crown, then wash my crown with it until all looks as I feel it should, all petals standing tall and proud, then move onto my third eye, wash it with Light until I am satisfied, then my throat chakra etc.
I used to balance them by making them identical sizes and spinning well, but I read we should not interfere at this time cos of the ascension and how our chakras are being changed.
Also I read we should not send healing to others cos their ills are a clearance.
But we can send support in the form of love, positivity, hope etc.

Ok, I never did address this, my apologies...life loud, you know.
Under my mattress is a selection of the proper stones laid at each chakral point. Each nite I go to bed and address the Reiki and say my personal prayer to invoke my intent. I only do Chakras when I feel out of balance. Sometimes I feel that it is almost "necessary" at times for them to be a bit off kilter. They tell us something, we feel emotional, physically, or spiritually..then we pay attention cuz we feel awful in some way. I then do a visual stirring and cleansing of each Chakra. Sometimes I begin with the crown, other times I begin at the base. IT just depends on how I feel the energy move. Cleansing direction does not really matter tho I instinctively decide right or left or I approach each one. If I am particularly off kilter I will use the stones on the front of me OR use my strung ones to go thru thoroughly.
I made a chakra hanging for some one, my first. She needed something "tactile" to help her work the chakras. It worked well for her. Many do not need the stones but we who love then find it helps to have the stones for focus and for the drawing and cleanse they do SO well.
As for stones to utilize:
Now I use the Earth and use a Smokey quartz at my feet, then a Bloodstone about 10-12" below my feet for the higher Earth Base Energy, Mother Earth.
ROOT is RED Garnet, Ruby, red Jasper, this is the base of the spine from the rear or at the joining of your legs from the front. I use the Jasper
SACRAL is ORANGE Carnelian is best imho, this is near the genitals
SOLAR PLEXUS is YELLOW Yellow jasper, Citrine, Yellow aventurine, yellow jade.....this is just above the belly button..I use a large citrine point
HEART is GREEN Green jade, Green aventurine, for this chakra tho rose quartz works well if needed if placed just 3 fingers width above the green stone....this is just between the shoulder blades from the rear or in the middle of the chest from the front...I use Jade
THROAT is BLUE Blue aventurine, blue lace agate... this is at the hollow of the throat...I use BL Agate
BROW is INDIGO Lapis Lazuli, Sodalite, even amethyst works well here IF you feel it should be..I use lapis..this is at the center of your forehead above your eyes
CROWN is VIOLET Amethyst, Spirit Quartz, even a clear quartz point will work for your crown if needed...this is at the top of your head, I use amethyst.
ABOVE CROWN is a white stone, I use regular quartz or moonstone or a special clear point I have...this is above your head a bit maybe 10-12" inches again like the Earth base..this one pulls the threads and cords out of your crown, just like the Earth base one pulls them from the feet.
This is MY way, many others use their way. Our Owl is very good at stirring them, I have had the privilege of the experience.
I have never owned a pendulum but of late, I am drawn to find one...I have yet to find the right one yet but I'm sure it'll come round when it is ready.

Thanks...That helps alot and it did answer my question..Except for the one where I asked, if it is possible to use a pendulum on yourself..lol..I don't think it is, but I was hoping that someone who is familiar with them could tell me something about it..I don't have anyone to use one on me..Everyone that I know just wouldn't get it..

Someone will come along with that answer OR make it a question of it's own thread. I just feel them with my energy and give em a spin as Gillie says if they need it. Speaking of which I think today, in the hammock, in the sun I may do just that!

First the pendulum is just another physical tool, like wands, mirrors, speres, etc. The idea of tools is they help us focus energy and intent. I've used pendulums at times for various things.........I have a couple pendants from Debs that I use and and a few other pendants I use, all different stones or crystals depending on my mood or needs. I don't own a single "real" pendulum 
You can use a pendulum on yourself but I find it difficult. My arm tends to lose feeling which throws off my entire focus
I find there is no one way or right way to practice anything, we are each different so we each create our own way. I encourage just trying things nothing bad will happen if your intent is pure and from love.

Gosh, I don't think so. Stones may speak in subtle ways but I do not believe they can "tell us" what is wrong, they can only "help" what is wrong.
There is no concrete black/white answer here. each individual clears or heals Chakras and bodies in their way. What works for me may not work for Cats and in turn may not work for Gillie and yet I may be able to utilize some of Gillie's ideas like the spiral stir. ALL of these have one thing in common that cannot be wrong or go wrong...intent..good intent is needed, with good intent there is not harm.
I read something this morning I meant to reply to but got called away by the farrier. Gotta remember where now..it had to do with not healing..by healing one interferes with the process? I gotta look cuz I disagreed.

Twas me who said about not healing. I read somewhwere that a lot of our ailments are a clearance and we just gotta go thru the illness.
But we can help by giving strength, positivity, love etc.

Mia, to read is a wondrous good thing, there is much out there for this year of 2008. It is a year of great transitions and change for doggone near everyone. BUT, take only what touches you to heart and practice. Not on,e person is right...many share like ideas and beliefs but there is no one "right way", imho.
Now I can speak really pretty and ethereally like alot of those out there who send on these acsension infos BUT I speak pretty plain so I can be fully understood.

Sage: Each Chakra vibrates and spins to it's own energy need for that person at that time. Some get a clogged and need a clean and spin. Some remain happy and settled. By "helping" these Chakras we do not interfere in my humble opinion. If one needs one is drawn to help oneself or another if asked, the intent is to help..no harm.

Sage: Then I'm outta business. I am asked to send healing every day to someone. I never refuse, and don't charge $$ as often as I should but the energy balances out in the end. I send good intent (there is that word again) and feel the need of that person, or furfolk, and then help that need...be it pain (emotional, spiritual, physical) be it illness...or any other need.
I, and many others, step up and send. It costs us nothing...a bit of light, a bit of good energy, a prayer, to help and to heal. How this can harm the ascension of a being? That words ascension....we are a cognizant group of human beings.
Define it...ascension...Free thought and free will reigns supreme in the human being, BUT I find this a huge year of transition and change...folks who would never have thought to look for alternative help now ask..shyly, quietly at first..then boldly as they learn and feel this new energy.
Not heal?....not possible for me. I am a healing person with a healing gift of energy and light with pure and good intent. I am good at my job, if you wish to call it that. Illness "can hide" an emotional, spiritual, or even physical reaction to life, but should they suffer needlessly to learn a lesson they don't know lies there?
No, in the healing is a message, I am not God, I cannot lay on my hands in any form and cure the lame and sick BUT I can give them insight, we can and do have a discourse about how they got there, what it feels like, what we can do with or instead of what the medical profession prescribes, with the Reiki it does heal, with the stones and crystals..they do help and heal by matching their vibrational abilites to the need, so much can help and heal.
Not heal?...I'd wither and die.

The chakra bit I do agree with, I have felt my chakras change and move, so all I will do is cleanse them.
I also only cleanse others.
I do still send healing, but I ask for the healees highest good, so, if she/he is not meant to be healed, at least some form of comfort is sent.
I don't charge either, I just love doing what I can.
I read all the articles Sage, some I agree with. some I don't.
Some I don't understand at all.
When I started my journey consciously, 6yrs ago, I thought lots was codswallop, but, I found it wasn't lol, so now, I keep an open mind about everything.

not the way I use a pendulum. I use a pendulum for seeking. So it really only helps me find a "where" not a "why". Like I said before I do not use the tools the same as others might. And honestly over the last couple of years I am finding the tools less and less needed. The power is in each of us not in the tools and rituals, it is up to us to find our power and own it.
