another sending topicOK seeing as I am only level 1 I am not supposed to be able to send...but I am special...  actually I've just used the same method I've always used for distance healing....
Now back to my question/pondering......some of you say you use a stuffed critter to send....does anyone use their own body when sending?
just a thought that popped into my head

I'm one who doesn't use a stuffed animal...... What encouraged me to go into Level 2 was that I was "sending" on my own. The concern was that I was sending (draining) my own energy and not Reiki.
Here's another angle.....Giving Reiki to your pet and having others be drawn to him, not knowing why.......
As Sage and Hermie says....It's the Intent. And as long as you aren't drawing from your personal energy, that's all there is........Find what's most comfortable for you.
Other than that, I'm stepping back here and letting others more knowledgable to pipe up.

I use my body most times now but I find for the level one folks a bear/surrogate is helpful when filled.
Also a picture I touch if I have one and this year, the connections with those I see or feel is molten hot.

I usually send sort of a general healing....I haven't ever done an official reiki on anyone yet..... seems that if someone is near me and needs it, well it just turns on
I also have used the pictures at times..... but because I travel to the person I am working with I'd never considered using a surrogate.....

A photo does wonders......and not just for Reiki but psychically too.
My first long distance experience occured BEFORE I was a Reiki Level 2. A good friend had been visiting us and as he was leaving my hands were drawn to his chest like a magnet! (He had had heart issues in the past.) From then on, all I've had to do is think of him and he knows.......I get phone calls from either him or his wife asking me. LOL.
Sage mentioned feeling heat......I feel that too, and sometimes it's a tingling sensation on my finger tips.

Reiki is just a structure to our healing
They were healing long before Reiki came on to the scene
A way to train us to do what we can do naturally
Structure means that we know when we do healing
Instead of the old way of just getting down and doing it
So, of course you can send healing herding cats
I can see no reason why not
