So many losses in the last few weeks..I feel drawn to share our benevolent healing friend the Apache Tear.  A stone of great comfort in trying times and times of grief.

Apache Tears are solid black but tumbled or rough when held to the light you can see thru them.  A gentler cousin to obsidian, the tears bring up negativity slowly so it can be worked through gently.  This stone is an excellent protector and grounder, thus keeping others from draining you emotionally.   It comforts grief and provides help during times of distress.  This stone stimulates analytical capabilities and promotes forgiveness.  An Apache tear will remove self-limitations and increase spontaneity.
“Physically”, it helps with the absorption of Vitamin C & D, removes toxins from the body and calms muscle spasms and cramps.   It also heals the stomach, digestive, and intestinal systems.

The story of the Apache tear:

Native American legend tells us that during a battle, a cavalry came upon a small band of Pinal Apache warriors on a mountain near Superior Arizona.   The Apache found themselves faced with defeat and capture, so rather than face disgrace at the hands of their enemies,  they chose death from their friend, the mountain, and leapt from a great cliff.

The great spirit looked down on their grieving loved ones and turned their tears into stones so that all who saw them would remember the lost braves.  It is said the owners of Apache tears will never cry again.   As an Apache tear, the black obsidian stone should “never” be drilled, as it damages the soul of the stone.

I do love the one you gave me, Sage, and I sleep with it many times. I could say it's "funny" that you chose to discuss the Apache tear, but we know better --- just two days ago I was telling a much-stressed emotionally battered friend that I must let her use the tear. Now, you've reinforced that. Yep, the path is clear......................tt

How about I send you a tear for your friend?
and when I go to choose stone of the week, they choose me usually and this one fit considering all our losses and pain of late.

Not meaning to be presumptuous, do you mean me?  It's ok if you mean someone else. - tt

Sage - The tear arrived yesterday. Thanks so much. I didn't open the little box, but I'll let my friend open it herself, so it comes from your touch to hers. I'm sure it's just the right thing for her. (p.s. I love your biz card - very classy!) - tt

Oh I am glad, tis a small one, I have some coming in this week if she'd like another but this one of the 4 left leapt into my fingers so I knew it was hers. And thanks, I  like the fresh feel of it too.
