It's been very exciting today.......We have TWO Great Horned Owls who have spent the day roosting in our Willow Tree just outside of our bedroom in the back yard. One is a juvenile and we are assuming the other is the mom.
Unfortunately, they are situated in such a way that we can't get a decent photo of either of them! Aaarrrggg.

Last night.....as soon as the sun went down, while I was making dinner.... they began hooting.
Then this morning I found more feathers in the barn and began putting two and two together.......Last week I told Larry that I thought we had an owl visiting the barn at night........
The feathers I've been finding match the design on the Great Horned Owls' chest feathers!
Oh......and both are back in the Willow Tree today. Larry laughed when I told him we are now an Owl BED and BREAKFAST!
Eventually I hope we'll get a photo.
