This trip was partially for my dad. He was an artist and an architect. (This may be a long post.)
Dad had told me several times about his trip to Louisiana when he was a young artist and how he wanted all of us as a family to visit New Orleans some day.......It never happened...... :o(
And then, I was invited to join a friend in N.O. who had a timeshare there. The trip was practically all paid for, as long as I could pay for the airfare. (My husband practically booted me out the door! LOL.) I was gone from April 3 to April 10.
As I was preparing and shopping for the trip - both for me and for groceries for the family while I was gone - I asked my father to give me a sign that he would indeed be with me.......As it turns out, this trip is about, "ASK AND YOU SHALL RECEIVE". (My dad was always a very quiet person, so these signs meant a lot for me.)
It was the day before my departure, and I wanted to get a small spiral notebook to journal the trip. At first, all I saw were regular sized spirals and I turned to leave the aisle........For some reason I turned and looked again. There infront of me was the perfect notebook. The cover was green and on it was printed: "hug" with the brackets above it. Interestingly, the little spiral was not entered into the store's computer when I went to pay for it......hmmmm.....
And that was the beginning of my knowing that Dad would be there.
A few days after arriving in New Orleans, I asked Dad if he was there with me.......We'd been walking throughout the French Quarter and I had taken dozens of photos ........Sure enough......within minutes of my ASKING, I looked down and right infront of my foot was a DIME. (One of my parents' signs).......The date was the year of my marriage to Larry: 1978.
A couple of days later we were touring the "Oak Alley Plantation". I was feeling Spirit all over the place......It was amazing. Again......as I watched the video that our friend, Laurie, had recorded, I caught a faint orb floating between us.
I could go on and on about my seeing a rainbow, butterfly symbols, and ladybugs! The week was filled with signs........The final one was on my last day as I pulled away from the hotel, headed for the airport. There was a car parked with the license plate of "RHB".....My dad's initials....... I even took a photo of it. :o)
Dad was never one to demand attention to himself, so the signs were quiet, but defintely there.......Bless him.

It's amazing what we can see that is right in front of us if we only look. Sounds like a memorable trip for you Boo.
Bless,
