Last night I rode Sophia for the first time...in my dreams. No bridle or saddle just us together joined as one being. She was everything I could have imagined and so much more.
We cantered, almost floating, over a beautiful meadow when she stopped she dropped her head to graze. I could feel her essence was healing the pain from my body. I can still recall the tranquility and unity of the experience and feeling such happiness and peace when I awoke. For the first time in ages, the aches and stiffness were gone, if even for a little while.
I think she could sense it too because she wasn't her usual impatient little devil-self and was so lovey with such a kindness to her eyes that I'm certain wasn't there yesterday, lol. She had such a sweetness about her I haven't seen since she was a weanling. I think some animals are destined to be powerful healers, just like people.

I'll agree..I have always felt Sophie had something and maybe your dreams will become reality....she'll learn very quickly and I think her best ride will be naked. Young, painfree, wild!
I miss riding....my only rides are in my dreams...funny...I drove my Maggie in my dreams last nite...and she doesn't drive!
Give that Copper a pat for me, I do love her.

How wonderful for you! Whenever I dream I'm riding, it's always on my very first horse --- Devan -- an old-style Morgan. It's so real. And it's so him. I love him still -- even if he did cross over the bridge more than 10 years ago.
I keep waiting for my Dear Prudence, my first Am Staff and the love of my soul, to return in a dream. But she's onlycome twice in four years since she left here. In the first dream, We were riding in a car, she said she had to get off now. We stopped & she walked over to huge cliffs inside a cave. She said she would stay there now. I somehow backed away like pulling up in an airplane. There were some people with her before I was gone.
She came to me one other time in a dream. We were just together "hugging" as people and dogs can. I was so glad to see her, I was just crying & crying. I was still crying when I woke up. I cry now as I write this.
You are so lucky to have been with your Sophia again. I'm smiling for you.

Copper sends a big sloppy beet pulp lips kiss to her Auntie Debs!
